INTERNAL MALE REPRODUCTIVE SYSTEM

These are the internal parts of the male reproductive system and their functions:

  • TESTICLES – make sperm and testosterone
  • EPIDIDYMIS – stores sperm while they mature 
  • VAS DEFERENS – long muscular tube that carries sperm from the epididymis to the urethra
  • SEMINAL VESICLES – make sugary fluid to nourish sperm 
  • PROSTATE GLAND – produces fluid to nourish sperm
  • URETHRA – a tube that carries urine and semen out of the body (but not at the same time)
