Here’s what they claim to do:

  • Creatine: Provide energy directly to the muscles.
  • Protein: Improve muscle growth + repair.
  • Amino Acids: Improve muscle growth + repair, among other benefits.
  • Caffeine: Enhance physical performance and intellectual focus.

Some of these claims have been supported by data, but not all. And each carries risks of side effects, especially in still-developing bodies.

But perhaps the biggest issue: supplements aren’t regulated like medicines, so you don’t know exactly what you’re taking.
